When I was an undergrad at my beloved Oberlin, once a year or so animal rights activists would scale Mudd (the library) and hang out in hammocks, banners proudly waving in the wind.
Climbing the Times Building to protest Al Qaeda takes this--pardon the pun--to a whole new level.
